Our Process
Are you interested in adding one of our sweet pups to your family?
Here is a quick rundown of our process and procedures.

Getting On The Waitlist
The best way to ensure you get a pup is to express your interest and place a deposit early! Once the puppies arrive they tend to be spoken for pretty quickly. I will usually accept 2-3 Deposits for boys and 2-3 for girls from each litter before they are born. After the puppies are born and we make sure everyone is healthy and thriving I will open the waitlist for the remaining puppies. I will give those on my contact list the first opportunity to reserve a puppy, so even if the waitlists for our planned litters are full you can still ask to be put on the contact list for after the puppies have been born. Pups are given in order of deposits received, and only after a deposit is made is your puppy reserved. The entire contact list is notified at the same time when I have availability and then deposits are accepted on a first come first served basis. Every pairing is carefully planned, but will sometimes be changed due to timing, stud heath and/or availability, and female and stud compatibility.
Waitlist FAQ
-
Is the puppy deposit refundable?
Puppy deposits are non- refundable but are transferrable for up to two years. If after two years we have failed to provide you with a puppy, either from the lack of a pup of your preferred gender, or from lack of successful breedings / whelps; then you will be given the option to either remain on the list for a puppy, or to have your deposit returned.
-
What If there aren't enough pups to for the waitlist?
If after the pups are born, there aren't enough of one or the other gender, those on the waitlist will be given the option to either switch to the other gender (pending availability) or to transfer their deposit to the next available position on another litter's waitlist.
-
Can I visit the puppies before I place a deposit?
We allow visits only from those who have already placed a deposit on a puppy from that litter. This is for the safety and health of our dogs, puppies, and family. We are more than happy to send as many pictures and videos that you would like and we are also able to video chat with you so that you can see the puppies; but we do limit our visits to those who have already placed a deposit.

The Waiting
After you place a deposit you are kept up to date with messages, pictures and videos on how everything is progressing, from the breeding , pregnancy and delivery, to milestones, development, and all the cute moments in between! We know that waiting to bring your new puppy home can be so hard, and we try to send updates as often as we can while your pup is here with us.
Picking Your Puppy
After the pups turn 4 weeks old we allow deposit holders to come and visit the pups so they can get to know them before puppy picking day if they would like to! We allow one visit per family and ask that you limit the number of visitors to 3 or less. Puppy visitors are given 1 hour to play with and get to know the puppies. We ask that you stick to your time slot as we usually have multiple visitors coming in one day. It's a good idea to get an idea of who your top picks are at this time. So if you are first pick, maybe choose your top two, second pick should choose their top three, and so on. This helps puppy picking day go very smoothly! Puppy picks are done sometime around 6 Weeks old. Picking is done in order of deposits received. I set aside one day for puppy picking. 1-2 weeks before picking day I will contact you to set up a time for you to pick out your pup. We are able to Video call, and send Pictures and Videos of the pups to help you make your decision! We do try to avoid in- person visits for puppy picking day, and ask that all visits be done before 6 weeks old. Once your picking time has come you will have an hour to make your decision. We do try to fit puppy picking all into one day, so it is important to stick to your time slot. If you can not pick within the hour that you are given then you will be bumped down in the picking order and your spot will be given to the next person in line.

Final Contracts and Payments
After you have chosen your puppy, I will send out our final contract and health guarantee. You can take some time to review it and get back to me with any questions that you may have. With the final contract will come the final payment request for the remainder of the cost of your puppy (total cost minus the deposit amount). The contract will need to be signed and the final payment made by the time the pups are 8 weeks old.
Bringing Your Puppy Home!
Puppies go home at 8 weeks old. Preparation for brining your puppy home starts early! At around 4 weeks old I will contact you to set up a time for you to get your puppy. Once that is set, the first thing that you will want to do is call your veterinarian to make an appointment for a new puppy wellness check. Our health guarantee requires puppy to be checked over by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of them going home with you. if you can't get in with your vet then you will find someone with availability just for the wellness check.
You can get your puppy by picking them up here, picking them up at one of our free drop off locations, or have them delivered to a meeting location of your choosing (may include added fees). We do offer to fly your puppy to you where you can pick them up from the airport. The fee for this service varies depending on location and ticket prices. We are also able to meet you at the DesMoines International Airport if you would like to fly here to get puppy, We require all puppies to be picked up by 10 weeks old. We will offer extended stays but there is a $30 per day fee + any additional medications, vaccinations, and vet checks that puppy would need while they are still with us.
We do try to get your puppy to you as soon as they are able to go home, however, we are often scheduling several pick-up/ drop-offs in the same timeframe, so your patience and understanding is appreciated as we try to find times for everyone to get their new puppy.
